Cavemen were probably the first people to have fireplaces where they kept warm and cooked their food as well. We have developed from there right up to the present day . Ours are now better designed with a flue where necessary to disperse the fumes. They come in all shapes and sizes but still remain the main focal point of our room. Many people feel a room is not complete until they have some form of fireplace.
