Fireplace Design Increases Its Efficiency

If you are anything like me, you know that when your wife asks you to do something or if something is possible you will go out of your way to make sure it is.

Part of this equation for me was when we were building our new home and she was wondering if I knew what fireplace design would be best for our house., The answer, of course, was a resounding yes and I checked out the internet for more exact ideas. The end result was a great success and she was very proud of me.

Most home buyers like my wife have a fireplace on their wish list. In many cases, it is the appearance of the fireplace that makes it so desirable. Of course, a fireplace is also a place for a fire and, therefore, heat. As the prices of electricity, natural gas and heating oil rise, more people look to their fireplaces for additional heat.

Many fireplaces use the same fuel as the home’s central heating system. If you want to get all the heat you can from your fireplace fuel, look to the fireplace design to make sure it’s as efficient as possible........
